Petroleum Products Produced at Refineries
Estimated refinery throughput since the start of today and the current year.
What this counter means
Refineries convert crude oil and related feedstocks into fuels and other products used across modern economies. This counter shows the scale of that activity by distributing the latest complete global refinery-throughput average across the current day and year.
Method and limitations
The source measures refinery throughput, primarily crude oil processed and sometimes condensates run alongside it. It is the most consistent global proxy for refinery production, but it is not a direct total of finished petrol, diesel, jet fuel and every other product leaving refineries. Actual refinery runs vary by maintenance, demand and region.
